Tech Tip Corner 1982 Ford Taurus/Sable Voltage Regulator Replacement 1982 Ford Taurus/Sable Voltage Regulator Replacement If you have to replace the voltage regulator on 1982 Taurus/Sable vehicles, Ford advises sealing the top edge of the regulator after it is installed to keep water from leaking into the air vent on the backside. Use a silicone sealer across the top and be careful not to close up the air vent.
