Tech Tip Corner Honda Accord and Prelude Flywhell Steps

All 1979-85 Honda Accord and 1979-87 Honda Prelude (w/o fuel injection) flywheels have a .030" step down on the flywheel. This step can easily be mistaken for flywheel wear. Make sure this step is cut into the flywheel when having it resurfaced. Failure to do so will cause chatter, incomplete release, slipping and possibly a hard pedal.
