What is it?
LS 781 voltage regulator connector.
What does it fit?
1986 and later GM applications with Delco alternators and
integral voltage regulator part numbers DR164B and DR151S.
Why does it fail?
May be damaged during replacement of alternator assembly.
It's also continually exposed to wear and tear from elements.
Why can't I just sell solderless terminals and a roll of wire for
this application and save my customer money?
The LS 781 is a locking connector that won't fall off due to
vibration, and its wire gauge is an exact match to OE, designed to
carry the proper current.
